Art project - cinematic portraits

Over the years I have collaborated with a great range of people from all walks of life, during various remote shooting projects. Often time these have led to subsequent shootings also on location given shared interest to do so and the right opportunities becoming present. My work mostly focuses on cinematic approach, looking to capture transient moments that suggest a before and after. Echoing something that exists both within the frame and outside of it. I do not seek to create picture perfect visuals, on the contrary embrace mistakes, random encounters, and limitations. It is my way to reflect through photography something that closely vibrating how I perceive life itself. With those I collaborate I seek beyond the mere surface of things, to capture both something visible and also invisible yet clearly present and felt. I seek connection and dialogue with myself, those I collaborate with and lastly the outside viewers. I do not attempt to pre-define conceptually my works direction, however some reoccurring themes that might be helpful to be mentioned are: melancholy, time, intimacy, place/location, longing, distance, eroticism, memory, mysticism, the ordinary, the past and more… which all together layer my visual mosaic.
