ModelManagement: At what age and how did you start your modeling career? Was it by chance or something planned?
Samantha: It was in the XVIII International Barcelona Tattoo Expo 2013. I was 24, and some photographers wanted to take pictures of me, my tattoos called their attention. Since that day I haven’t stopped working, both catwalk and photography, which has given me a lot of experience.
MM: You work as a catwalk and photography model. Which has been the most exciting moment on your modeling career?
S: Definitely my first catwalk show for the designer Anna Naagy, an unforgettable experience. It’s what I want to do for living.
MM: Nowadays the trend is atypical models, professionals look for models with different features beyond the beauty standards imposed by the industry. Have your tattoos been an advantage when finding work as a model?
S: I would say yes, in fact in my case completely true. Nowadays people are tired of finding models with the same features. I think that fashion and tattoos can be totally complementary. They give a lot of personality and reflect much about our story, its art.
MM: What would you say to all those aspiring models who think they cannot succeed in the fashion world by not having the measurements and the look imposed by the industry?
S: I would encourage them to be themselves and propose to break the schemes, be different, and have personality. Above all, work hard and enjoy.

MM: What are your hopes and ambitions as a model and why?
S: I would love to go far in my career, be a great model. I enjoy my job, for me it’s a dream come true.

ModelManagement: ¿A qué edad y como empezaste tu carrera como modelo? ¿Fue de casualidad o algo planeado?
Samantha: Fue en XVIII Internacional Barcelona Tattoo Expo 2013. Tenía 24 años, y unos fotógrafos me pidieron hacerme unas fotos, les llamo la atención mis tatuajes. Desde ese día no he parado de trabajar, tanto desfilando como en fotografía, que me han aportado mucha experiencia.
MM: Trabajas como modelo de fotografía y pasarela. ¿Cuál ha sido el momento más emocionante de carrera como modelo?
S: Sin duda mi primer desfile. Fue con la diseñadora Anna Naagy, una experiencia inolvidable. Es a lo que quiero dedicarme día a día.
MM: Hoy en día se lleva lo atípico, se buscan modelos con características que están fuera de los cánones de belleza impuestos por la industria. ¿Tus tatuajes han sido una ventaja a la hora de encontrar trabajo como modelo?
S: Diría que sí, de hecho en mi caso totalmente. Hoy en día las personas están cansadas de encontrar el mismo prototipo de modelo. Creo que los tatuajes y la moda pueden complementarse totalmente. Dan mucha personalidad y reflejan mucho sobre nuestra historia, son un arte.
MM: ¿Qué les dirías a todas aquellas modelos aspirantes que piensan que no pueden triunfar en el mundo de la moda por no tener las medidas y el look impuesto por el mundo de la moda?
S: Les animaría a ser ellos mismos y proponerse romper los esquemas, ser diferente, y tener personalidad. Sobretodo trabajar mucho y disfrutar.

S: Me encantaría poder llegar muy lejos en mi carrera profesional, ser una gran modelo. Disfruto mucho con mi trabajo, para mí es un sueño hecho realidad.
